Yup. When you buy it. You basically accept their conditions as advertised. They can even sell it with no warranty aside from obviously a doa clause.

Nope. No "agreement" or "clause" or "conditions" makes the law null and void. If you buy from a retailer, the must honour 6 months warranty - period. If they don't, you can lay a complaint.

The Act does not make provision for this. The Act states that the warranty the retailer claims is in ADDITION to the 6 months the Act enforces: https://www.acts.co.za/consumer-protection/56_implied_warranty_of_quality

So no, that agreement is unlawful. It's like getting someone to sign a contract that allows you to kill him/her. It's not legal - agreement or not.
