Yip i did. Still shows R4999 when checking out.

It shows the full item price all the way through checkout, and even on the OTP sms messages, but once checkout actually goes through, only the lower price is deducted from your account.

Ah man. I never ended up getting it cause it kept showing R4999
 
Is that even allowed under the CPA?
Yup. When you buy it. You basically accept their conditions as advertised. They can even sell it with no warranty aside from obviously a doa clause.

Nope. No "agreement" or "clause" or "conditions" makes the law null and void. If you buy from a retailer, the must honour 6 months warranty - period. If they don't, you can lay a complaint.

The agreement is buying the item as advertised. Their listing states the warranty period.
