because a degree is no longer enough, think about people who you will be competing against, who perhaps have honours for example, or another degree

you can study a bcom accounting for example, and then have to compete with chartered accountants, or people with articles as well

bottom line is one degree is not enough to get a decent job

It is... I want to do market research but I am not given the oppertunity to grow

It was for a rep position... I'm actually a market analyst but not finding anything in my line... and Rep work gives good exposure.. starting at the bottom again. But I wont complain.. my back is strong, I'll work hard.
 
I don't understand how people with a degree struggle to find work. My dad always said that if you want to work you will find work.

Apparently he hasn't looked for a job in the last 5 years.
Unless you are head-hunted finding a job is really difficult unless you are willing to work retail for a bit.

So you can find a job its just that when you have a degree most normal jobs are beneath you.

or maybe they just studied hard and know what they are capable of and what they want and do not want too do work that a matriculant can do.
