I agree with TheGuy.
I don't want to sound pretencious but studying and getting a degree is deemed to be a great platform for getting ahead in life. So after spending 3-5 years studying and getting a degree or two, there are just some things people aren't willing to do. Normal jobs like retailing, call centers, cleaning services, au pairing, drivers etc - many graduates would rather continue to be unemployed and on the hunt than subject themselves to "normal" jobs.
