I'm not usually one to complain - but here goes nothing.
I dont believe DC was ready to launch (and charge people for it). I have paid my subscription for the month, but, for 2 days, have a connection thats pretty useless to me. I understand the chillies are profusely working on the issue, but, these issues could have been picked up in testing. I'm sure the testers stress-tested their circuits, why wasnt the issue around the "abuse" picked up?
My faith in DC is fast dwindling - I work in an IT environment, in a service delivery oriented department for a large corporate. Technical issues need to be resolved within hours. There are SLA's set up and penalties are to be paid if these SLA's are not met. I am used to working around technical issues in this manner, so the recent issues (sign-up and speed) have somewhat startled me, considering DC was ready to charge for the service.
I feel DC should still be in the test phase, and not be charging customers for this month's service. Before you know it, half the month would be gone and we will still going through these teething issues.
DC - This is not a flame - I'm just expressing myself in what I hope is a mature manner. I hope the issues do indeed get resolved soon as I would like to see you guys succeed. I'm sure I speak for all mybb members when I say we are grateful for what you are trying to do in this tough SA Market. Everybody should have affordable access to the www and you guys are clearly trying to achieve that.
