Have DStv lost the plot?

Pulled the power cable out to force a reset but still get the same "no signal found error". Guess I have to check my alignment / get to work on the big dish setup.

Thats knit picking, for all intents and purposes DSTV's 1080i HD as good as it gets, content permitting e.g. local live sport being best.

Yes, they have lost the plot. But we are slaves to the monopoly and we continue to be milked for every last penny from basic service provider. Its the price we pay in Africa and I'm sure our neighbours are getting ripped off even worse since they have even less competition in most sectors. Its a dog eats dog world.

Dstv in our neighbouring countries is cheaper than here. At least it was when I went to gabs.
 
Nobody really broadcasts 1080p Sinbad. I know a few of the big boys (like Direct TV) have some 1080p content, but 720p and 1080i are the standard HD broadcast resolutions in most of the world... I'm with Roman4604 on this one.

I know noone broadcasts 1080p. But broadcast is NOT the only source of video, therefore 1080i/dts is not as close to the real thing as you can get.

Again, for you. If 720p or 1080i with dts are close enough why do we have 1080p, dolby true hd, dts ma and now 4k?

I'm stating facts. You're giving opinions.
 
Okay. Got home. Pressed arrow down. Navigated to 425 and my TV have me the bird. Sorted!
