I did the Killarney ones from some years 10 ago.

MyBB organised a discount for part one of the course.

The closest I ever came OT was at a Porsche ‘open-day’, but the advanced driving course was people hogged all dressed in Porsche memorabilia, so, meh, with the limited time available on that day. They called it an experience, and it was not all Porsche.

PS, I was a +1, would like to do it though.

Yes, did a BMW high performance one at Zwartkops Raceway a few years back. Not a big fan of BMW, but super fun
(was a prize I won at work)

Anyhow. Would love to do one. A real one with a vehicle that really keeps you on your toes. Roads are becoming more dangerious and more is needed.

Yes, in the early 70's in England.

The test involved a skid pan, hill climbing and descent, how to cope with a blow out, even a wheel coming off, defensive driving, how to anticipate what might occur in heavy traffic

It made me not so much more careful, but to be gentle with the car, avoid hard accelleration and violent braking, leaving a reasonable distance from the vehicle in front, even when stopping at traffic lights. What do do when a potential robber accosts you (hijacking was very rare in 1970's England)

The latter stood me in good stead when a fellow stuck a gun through the open window. I moved forward quickly and squashed him against the side of a bus. The bus driver stopped, took one look and came back with a night-stick and cable ties. A bit of damage to the doors but more to him. He had dropped the gun as well which turned out to be a plastic replica

Calling all:
Marauder owners
Red Ford Escape owners
SUV drivers owners

For a one time destruction derby at Tygerberg raceway.

I found that while it was fun, it was quite hard work (doing the course)

The teacher was a retired SAS fellow, real gung-ho type and didn't take prisoners. He threw out some pupils he thought were playboys

Other:
Did want to, never got to it, now see no point as I seldom drive and have had much experience.

The //M one would've been even better. AMGs are heavy pigs.
Whilst I am a BMW fanboy, I did enjoy driving the C63s before they go 4 cylinder hybrid.

Also I am not a racing driver, won't get anywhere near the limit of the C63s nor the M4. So the V8 sound was good

With access to that kind of power, what are you then - how fast have you gone?

I did 210 once, now think I must have been raving mad....... but do remember it seemed great back then.

Not worth it. Really
