Hi folks

The Killarney Training Centre has sponsored a full day advanced driving course which one lucky MyBroadband member can win. The full course description is available in the attached PDF.

To enter the competition, simply comment in this thread why you think you can benefit from this course. (I guess thyere is an argument that your wife should rather take this course – but that is a whole new discussion :D )

GPer who recently moved to CT. The way the locals drive, I believe I need the course to keep the rest of them safe ;)

I could benefit as I tend to freeze up when the **** hits the fan on the road.

The greatest fear I have is driving on the highway at 140km/h and driving over a road slick, feeling the back of the car just slide 90 degrees and jack-knife towards the railings :(

Also, me driving on the N1 when a group of students ( pissed out of their minds ) was coming head on toward me on the wrong side of the highway.

Would be nice to have a mindset of security, knowing what to do when those situations happen again

I will finally be able to take my pop's TVR out for a drive (Pfft, as if...). Very cool give away! Loads of fun :)

I feel it will decrease my chances of crashing and dying and hence I'll be able to continue to be an active member on mybb.

As a youngish driver, my risk is apparently higher or something, so that's another reason I need it.

well the wife is preg!!! and im gonna need to get to the hospital really fast and "safe" one of these days, would feel a whole lot better if i could do it
with confidence and get there with everyone alive :}

Can't I just have it because I badly want it - this approach usually works for other competitions :D

But seriously, I need to lower my insurance risk profile by doing an advanced drivers course because I'm paying a heck of a lot in motor vehicle insurance.

I live in Cape Town. Most drivers on the road are a menace and I have to drive to account for that :p
Also, I suspect the recent mishap will see an increase in my insurance premiums... And if this is something that they'd take into consideration in lowering it, I'm ready to give it a go.

Likewise, who wouldn't want to lower their insurance risk profile. And besides...it'll be a hell of a lot of fun! :D

Been driving for a long time and would really like the opportunity to improve my driving skills.

Yay I'm in Cape town....

Everyone could gain something from a course like this - but what I'm wondering about is if my insurance will like me more after I pass this course?

I would benefit from this as it would teach me how to not crash my Audi R8 when (not if!) I can afford one :p :D That and lower insurance premiums which will help me save up for the R8 in the first place ;)

I would only do this, if my insurance will be lowered after successfully completing the course. Guess I'll give them a call and find out

I'd love to do this. I don't really drive my car that much these days but when I do, it would be great to have the added confidence and peace-of-mind that I'll do the right thing in the wrong situations.

Killarney is awesome on a bike so I'm sure it'll be as much fun in the car!

I desperately need this course because I DESPERATELY want it! And you better give to me or im gonna report you guys.. To who doesnt matter, dont ask silly questions. All im gonna say is you dont want my mom on these forums making your life hell..

The battlefield -roads of CT- seem to get more and more dangerous every year. If this'll help me avoid a future possible mishap, I'd love to be given the opportunity to give it a try.
