Have you purchased second-hand components (graphics card, processor, hard drives, etc.) for use in your desktop PC?

Yes, but only once and it was a very long time ago. Mostly new nowadays.

Yes. System boards, CPUs, graphics cards memory, controller cards etc.

Only had one issue with a guy that sold me 5 new disks.

For the average non-gamer, there can be massive saving here. But do your homework and know you have no warranty.

Yes, bought from a kind member on Carbonite. PC runs 24/7 most days since 2013 if i remember right.

Upgrade from:

Intel QC Q6600 [standard] <> Intel Core i7 870 2.93Ghz
Graphics - can't remember now <> Nvidia 550Ti 1GB
Ram - think 4GB <> 16GB

Definitely feels dated now after using systems with later processors and better graphics cards. Will be going the same route within 2 years time if i don't see a great deal with a reputable online/physical store. :)
