Have you ever purchased second-hand desktop PC components?

Most people do the reverse
this was back when I just started working. and needed gaming pc on budget. so got other parts new and got a cheap second hand card. worked great. later upgraded to a new card.

and now I have a gaming laptop.
with the old pc now a media server.
 
Of course , you can get a great deal for a much more reasonable price
 
Yes, literally the entire PC I'm typing this on (except for the case and peripherals) was bought second-hand, as was my PC before that, and the one before that... I literally haven't bought a CPU or motherboard brand new since Athlon XP days.
 
Many, never had issues until my last (and final) purchase on BidOrBuy.

Guy sells me a defective drive, make me return it and then claim it was damaged in the mail. R850 loss for me :mad:

Never doing business on BidOrBuy again, but I will happily buy used PC hardware elsewhere like here in the classifieds and on Gumtree.
