Have you noticed that Linux is everywhere?

I have a DSL modem/router at home that run on Linux. Most people tend to forget this.

While all the Linux fanboys are hanging around this thread, please help me: I am looking for a new desktop for my parents in Stellenbosch. I want Ubuntu pre-installed, with all the latest security updates and patches. I am looking for a commercial supplier, so that they can get after sales service (and maybe even some training). I cannot find anyone via the web or even calling around. One receptionist actually told me she will have to come back to me because she needs to get a price on Ubuntu first!
Can anyone advise?
Linux just make so much more sense for them, as they do not have to worry about anti virus software, licenses, patches, etc.

Linux everywhere? Most PC's I see are running Windows...

Linux is big everywhere except the desktop.

Phones, embedded devices, entertainment systems, servers, super computers, network appliances etc etc etc. If it's got a cpu it's probably running linux, you just don't know about it...

You are probably using linux somewhere but you're just not aware of it.

A couple of years ago I bought a el cheapo PC from PC Discounters with Ubuntu pre-installed. They don't seem to do that any more. Which is a pity. It is the only way Linux will ever eat into Windows on main street.

I'm using Win7 for work apps but seriously considering trying to run my work apps via WINE and switching to SUSE or Kubuntu :D
