Have you stopped using Afrihost this month, or thinking about it?

Cancelled Afrihost this month and decided to try out Crystalweb. The difference is like night and day, no more pings in the 100+ region and constantly maxing out line speed. Youtube streams fine, all browsing is smooth, I am so glad I decided to jump ship.
 
I gave my AH account to my parents and told them they can use it to update their tablets and devices and sit and download Youtube videos (too slow to stream but the videos can be downloaded)
 
I have kept a 10gb capped account active just in case I need data.
The one time I connect and it runs like dog ****.
 
Further to posts 77 and 81, the following step was taken this morning - this went out to them:
I claim payment for the follwing from Afrihost on or before close of business on Tuesday 28 July 2015:

1. Payment of the amount of R1000 for services rendered as quoted and accepted at the specific instance of Keenan and/or Modiegi with reference to ticket JOZ-481-63916.
2. Payment of the amount of R199 being wasted costs on a Telkom subscription which cannot be cancelled due to Afrihost failing or refusing to transfer the adsl line back on 30 June as agreed with with Sheldon on 25 June 2015
3. Payment of the amount of R199 being for mobile internet access necessitated due to Afrihost’s failure and/or refusal to release the adsl line back to Telkom on 30 June as agreed, making another service impossible
4. Payment of R199 being wasted costs incurred with webAfrica who cannot provide the service paid for due to Afrihost’s failure and/or refusal to transfer the adsl line back to telkom as agreed upon on 25 June 2015
Unless payment of the amount of R 1597 is received into the undermentioned bank account and proof of payment sent to this e-mail address as mentioned above, further steps shall be taken out of the local small claims court for recovery thereof, which will incur interest and further costs.

This may not be the final amount as it depends on when Telkom can install the newly applied for line, and costs for next month may also be incurred as wasted costs. That, if applicable, shall be the subject of further litigation.

Opened a VOX account and testing. Its Awesome. Will be cancelling AH soon.
 
Awesome is too weak a word to describe it... VOX is what we call pure internet joy...
Checking pings here... 20ms less than they used to be....

In one of the threads where I complained (back when I was still with AH) I told them they should change the wording on the website to "Poor Internet Joy"...needless to say "they" were not impressed with that...boohoo for them!!

Boohoo for them indeed... lets' see what they say next year when the shareholders cut someone's balls off with a blunt knife.
