Before this discussion gets violent, forumites should keep in mind that v3g has [over the last 2 years] made Vodacom aware of our desire for data rollover - this thread is not about v3g, it is about why we want Vodacom to give us data rollover. IOW, v3g is not silent on the issue, he just doesn't have any new news for us yet on data rollover.

True, which means that Vodacom itself is just ignoring the damands. I am tempted to buy a 2GB bundle with it being the current cheapest rate but out of principle does not want to do so. I would rather pay more now to a company that did listen to our demands and gave us cheapish data instead of forcing bungles in the first place in the hope of getting an even better deal later on. So if Vodacom still refuses they don't get me as a customer and if Virgin matches their 20c/MB they don't get me either. Before this discussion gets violent, forumites should keep in mind that v3g has [over the last 2 years] made Vodacom aware of our desire for data rollover - this thread is not about v3g, it is about why we want Vodacom to give us data rollover. I prefer to think of this thread as a request from customers - rather than a "demand".True, which means that Vodacom itself is just ignoring the damands. I think of it as a demand. Vodacom will lose customers by the day without it. For me it might only be a request since Virgin will likely be first and reduce their price to the equivalent. The idea that SA consumers can't demand from the big players is one that we should get rid of as soon as possible. In the UK you demand at least 100GB of adsl bandwidth and if you don't get it you move. No provider worth their salt will offer anything less. As SA consumers we should start demanding what we pay for and nothing less.I prefer to think of this thread as a request from customers - rather than a "demand".
In a competitive environment, one of the competitors is bound to provide customers with what they want [in this case data rollover], the question is whether or not Vodacom & MTN will follow iBurst's example and provide customers with data rollover...

Today is Wednesday 2 May 2007 - so it expired yesterday?
Update delay, will probably disappear as soon as the issues with purchasing bundles are resolved so use it up quickly.Your current data bundle details:

It appears that VC's systems are pretty screwed at the moment. While some subscribers will probably "benefit", there will be those who will lose out.![]()
You'll have to use a different argument there. It's no longer month end annihilation but day end annihilation with bundles now expiring on a daily basis. All in the spirit of cross-subsidising![]()
But seriously though, rollover would be a positive move on Vodacom's part with regards to value for money as well as reducing the usual month-end annihilation of the V4me website.
Don't want to dash your hope, but we're not going to see roll-over very soon.
And although it won't be believed, it's not a commercial issue at all...![]()
If I didn't know better I would say that you must be a really patient person/me waits for rollover
