That's their default answer, takes the responsibility away from them. Next time you have the problem ask on the DSTV forums, and hopefully get some proper answers

is the HD channel 170 gone ?

it was working lat night, then this morning, nothing

my decoder skips 134 - 180

Check channel 1010 or 2010, it sometimes likes to move around

A reboot & re-scan should get them back into order
