Flats and townhouses in Cape Town can be pretty small.
Whats wrong with a 32 inch display?
Still looks bigger then a 72cm crt telly.
And seeing as you can nowadays pick up a 32 inch Samsung or sometimes Sony lcd for R3999 i would say its a lovely start to improved viewing.

jumping onto this topic, I've just got the baby HD PVR, and I'm looking for a LCD.
Saw two nice 40" (one Sinotech, one Sammy) at makro. Just wondering if there is a real difference between the 40 and 42?
i dont want to get caught out when he wife starts measuring up - I've told her about size and I've got to stick to my story ;)

My 42" looks much bigger to me than my FIL's 40"

Could be wrong

A friend of mine has the Samsung 50B450 and I have the 42C450. I think that dvds look better on his screen than on mine because of the screen size, but the sd dstv feed looks better on mine. His viewing distance (3.5m) is about a metre more than mine as he has a bigger lounge.
