Headache + now a stiff neck.

It's fine, I'll see how I am tomorrow. If I'm lucky, it'll blow over, if not, then I'm in a little bit of shyte, but this should still be early into the development. Usually takes a full week before you start going into the red zone with these sort of diseases. In any case, if it's tick bite fever, antibiotics will sort that out, and if it's meningitis, it could be bacterial (which means spam antibiotics) or vital (which is very very seldom fatal... and will blow over). It's not like I've got HIV, or Cancer :p. I also eat properly, and have been exercising, so my immune system should be strong enough to buy me time.

Funny story, people with the 'strongest' immune systems generally get hit by illness the hardest.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meningitis Read up about it and either work yourself into a freak-out or let it calm you down. Seems bacterial meningitis is the one to be terrified of.

Look, to be fair, I don't THINK there's anything serious wrong with you, I'm just the kind of person who goes to the doctor if I suspect something's wrong and you have more than enough symptoms to make me want to be absolutely certain there's nothing wrong as early as possible. I've also realised that a trip to the doctor can make something that would normally last two weeks last about two to five days.

Your health is important.

Going to my GP today... I had one hell of a fever last night, which is a sign that something really isn't going well in my body (I seldom get fevers). So I guess we will see what his verdict is :).

Glad that some sense has finally kicked in. Good luck.

why? besides, there's no obvious signs of tick-bite-fever. Like I haven't seen any black spots forming, and no rash... Only on my foot, I have a little blood blister that formed. no Idea where it came from.

thought so...
He's not sure, but he said it could be tick bite fever. I've just gotta go see him again tomorrow for the final say :(.

Good luck, young 'un!

Bosluis koors...

That is some nasty shyt right there. Brother had it and so too my dad. They both have lasting joint problems since then. And you are going to get so sick you are going to wish you where dead instead :o

Ya. String it out. Keep everyone guessing. ;-)

[Didnt want to say it, but my next guess would have been a dose of the clap!]

Euuuuw

Well, rather tick-bite fever than meningitis.

What else did the doctor say if it is, indeed, tick-bite fever?

Well, he's given me an antibiotic for it, and pain medication. Lets hope it goes though. Who knows though, it might even be malaria for all I know :p. (I did go to Bela Bela from the 10th till the 14th of this month)

Lets hope it gets sorted out one time though. Flip, I was really worried it was meningitis, but now it's bloody tick bite fever :(.

Yes, again, I'm really stringing it out because doctors know exactly what pathogen you have been infected with by looking at you ;).

That blood blister thingy you are talking about is a sure sign of a tick bite fever bite though. If it was a bite and not just coincidence

Dude .. you gotta stop biting those ticks. Apparently they give you some kind of fever!
