I'd try to sample these:
I recently bought a pair of Sennheiser HD 558's for music and gaming and love the sound and comfort levels.
- Audio Technica ATH-M30
- Audio Technica ATH-M40x
- Sennheiser HD380 Pro
- Sennheiser HD 439

Sennheiser Momentums are great they have both over and on ear models. I prefer the over ears as you get good isolation.
They are pricey though...

Out the options that you have listed, the only one that I have is the Sennheiser HD280 Pro. These are professional studio headphones so they have an unusually accurate sound. It turns out most people don't really like this characteristic, preferring ... (insert audiophile phrase such as "warmth"). The are completely sealed and have additional sound absorbing material added. This isolates the listener to the point that I have taken them off a couple of times to realize that there was a heavy thunderstorm that I did not notice which wearing them. The downside to all the sealing is that they can get sweaty to wear in summer.
If you are looking for headphones that are a better bargain and offer good sound quality and comfort for extended wearing then some places still have old stock of the Sennheiser 555. At R1 500 they are worth looking at.

I've had the Sennheiser 495, 518, and now 598.
I would always recommend them because they are epic headphones.
495's lasted me 8 years with 1 cable replacement. 518s i had for 1 year then upgraded to 598 which are going on 3 years now. All of them excellent excellent sound and comfort. Whichever model you get i'm sure they sound will be great.
I'm not so sure on the 449's padding (the pleathery ones), never used those so can't comment on comfort, but if you get the soft ones you won't even realise you wearing it.

Have you played around with the Audio Technica ones? Considering them over the seinnheisers for "under 50"
