Nah, solar generation starts to take a knock around 3pm in summer and 2pm in winter. You know trying to get CoJ to actually come and trim trees.Now imagine if you had 2 geysers so you didn't have to use power in the early morning to heat the water up but instead, letting the solar production run later into the day. You would be saving 900kWh per month instead of 700.
So I would rather have my batteries fully charged and the left over for pool pump, dishwasher, whatever else. Wouldn't be able to push more then 30kWh a day thanks to shading.
