That K850i looks pretty sweet...Also depends what you looking for in a phone, if you looking a for a decent camera phone you are on the money with that one.

You're not gonna get that phone for free on above contracts though, i'd wager at least R2000 pay in.
I doubt MTN will be able to sell the iPhone.

Well same applies to Vodacom contracts, a +-R150 p/month contract [weekender and such] will be at least a R2k+ pay-in.

Get the K850. Its a fantastic phone, i have one and with the latest firmware its pretty stable :-) its a much better allrounder than the others. Forget the W890.

Buy prepaid every month & buy the phone cash. You'll save a lot more on the long run. MTN/VodaCom are nailing their contract subscribers with these "free phones"

C702... The reason is because, as SlyFly said, it's a newer phone.

The W890i is overpriced... So while it's free, you could be getting something even better for free instead. The cost of the W890i doesn't match up to its features. If it were cheaper (and you got a free gift or something with the contract), then I'd say go for that, because it's quite a nice slim phone with a decent feature set.

The K850i is overrated. The camera's great (once you figure out how to get the best out of it), but the D-Pad would just irritate me. I've used a K850i a few times and I kept pressing "2" instead of "down". The touch-sensitive buttons are also a nuisance. They sometimes work, and sometimes work twice (even with one touch). This can be an irritation too.

I agree, The k810 is superior to its apparently bigger brother in the K850. The camera is not as great as some you get nowadays, the keys and d-pad layout are ridiculous and the three touch-sensitive keys are more of a hassle than a feature.

Believe me I could have chosen between the K810i and K850...

DiD a lot of research, K850 isnt really worth it, and even with my k810i Ive discovered taking pictures is like 5% of what I use it for like once a month...

Get the C702... Better feature set and I believe the camera is the same as the k810i's which is awesome... Also 5 megapixels only means BIGGER pictures on limited space...

But end of the day its your descision :D

Indeed. The camera should never be the main concern really. I mean you will probably use it to take a shot here and there, of a nice sunset, some drunken party or something but if it's anything else you'd want to have a proper camera to do that.

Yeah in the absents of the W960i the K850i is your best bet... How come no W960i on your list?

Most likely far too expensive. He was listing phones on MyCall... Prob about R2k pay-in there :(
