I've been trying to get Openserve fibre installed through Afrihost for more than a month now and at my wits end. Can anyone from Afrihost on this forum help please?

I initially placed a pre-order in May and Openserve rolled out in my area early June. When I contacted Afrihost for an update they asked for the B-Number and photo of the ONT, which I provided. I was then told they couldn't activate the line because it's on a 30 day Openserve trial(!) and I would have to wait for the trial to end before they could take over the line.

After going to great lengths to get Openserve to terminate the trial (I didn't ask for) early, Afrihost submits a new order on 23/06 and I schedule an appointment for 29/06 using the Openserve app. However, Openserve doesn't pitch on that date so I contact Afrihost support, who says Openserve has to confirm the appointment by phone or it didn't happen. Afrihost makes a new appointment for 10/07, the earliest available date.

This appointment then somehow gets rescheduled to 04/07 while I'm away on holiday. When the Openserve technician calls on 04/07 asking if he can do the installation, I explain that I'm away on holiday and ask if we can move it back to Monday 10/07. I also reply to the Openserve SMS asking to reschedule.

Then on Monday 10/07 my order is inexplicably cancelled and I can no longer track it in the Openserve app. Repeated calls and Whatsapps to Afrihost since then keep telling me Openserve will call me to book an installation date, but at this point I think this order is stuck in limbo and I don't know how to move it forward.

How on earth does Afrihost keep winning ISP of the year awards with these levels of service?
