OK, so this is my network i have 2 routers the first one is my primary (connected to the internet) and the 2nd router i use as a switch (connected to the primary, extending it) They are situated on opposite sides of the house and are connected by an ethernet cat5 cable.

This is the problem i made it so the primary router is 10.0.0.1 and the switch is 10.0.0.2 so i can access them both, and it has worked for about a month now, but when i try to access the 2nd router (the switch) it says: '(10.0.0.5) is managing this device'

what interfaces of your routers are plugged into each other?
What interface do you plug into on the devices

They are connected via the ethernet port at the back i am running a cat5 cable with ethernet adapters

Means the router hasn't forgotten a logged in session, restart them

That edit in the first post makes it clearer. Psywulf is correct, it still seems to have active session running. Odd it hasnt timed out though

This normally happens when you dont click the log out link/button after you are done configuring the router/fw/sw

when you click the log out button it destroys the "session",normally they forget the session after a while.

Ok thanks for all the replies but when i got up this morning everything was fine. I did restart it yesterday but nothing happened i left it off over night and now it seems fine.
