Help - telkom ADSL speed

Hi

Need help.

I am on a 2 Mbps adsl line. Line speed in terrible. Cannot connect or takes 10 minutes to do a google search.

Tried to do a speed test... After a few minutes got a message saying "network communication issues" earlier the test went through showing speeds better then I got before yet browsing speed still slow.

Got a new netgear dgn2200 router yesterday. Can it be something with the settings. Worked fine yesterday though.
 
Can you provide a tracert to a local server? (with your internet idling) It would show whether you've got some congestion on the exchange or not.
 
Ok. Telkom did a port reset and then the lady says she thinks its a general problem as they have other calls also regarding this.

Anyone else with telkom Internet having a problem?
 
Back to my 0.99 Mbps download speed and normal Internet speed again

Same here in KZN north, been experiencing slow browsing and torrents. Its insanely frustrating......
 
My internet connection (ADSL Telkom ISP 2MB line) is useless. I'm an on-line gamer at night and wonder if I would receive a better connection with another ISP. Below is my trace report.

The problem is the telkom connection to the US, the connection to Europe is fine
 
Telkom Slow Speed

I have a 4mbps line - ping is fine and line speed is fine - but yet its stone dead at night and the moment i want to load a web page it timesout and struggles to load even though speedtest shows line is ok - 6 calls to Telkom and they couldnt help, they reset etc and router tested all ok and i just get told all ok - so frustrated there must be a problem at Telkom and it cant be congestion with all the slow speeds and seems everybody is experiencing this hiccup
