On Gumtree they go for R2,000 so I'd guess R1,200 - R1,500.
Fck me! That much?
God perhaps I should sell my GTX580 here and buy something decent, I had no idea it had any worth.

I feel forced to comment
please do!

Looking at the specs of my current card especially the 384-bit part it seems to dwarf most. The GTX1080 is only 256 bit :/
How important is that number?
Don't compare the previous generation with the new.
Is one bit not = to one bit?
Reading all these comments, it seems to me that 2gb on a 1050Ti is more marketing than usefulness. Now I wonder about those 8gb 1080s?
I wish I can just swop with someone, I have a good AMD CPU and AMD motherboard.
What I want is intel.
As for what I use it for.
I live inside Jetbrains so that is primary one and brakets so Ram is more important especially for the VMs, but I also make use of Inkscape and the whole of Adobe expect for video and music editing.
At 100K for the mac eco system I have to pass, that money is better invested on the JSE.
I wish Apple wasn't so expensive or I could rob an incredible corruption, because the guy up stairs knows I want a mac so damn badly!
If you are not going to do any gaming or any video editing you might as well go for any of the low profile nvidia graphics cards available. They usually use the minimum of power and the video ram and graphics processing is almost not applicable to your general usage.
I still want someone to explain Bit to me.
How does this relate to ram?
How does graphic card relate to systems ram
Why is system ram DDR4, but cards is ddr5?
in short 'bit' refers to the width of the memory bus.. how this translate to performance is the below equation:
Clock x width(bit) = performance (bandwidth)..
