Help Thor Decide.

Remember, time is money.
So every day spent on this has a cost of at least R1000. Which could have been spent on buying an actual Mac
Yes I am starting to realize I could have bought two Macs now.

No, you're trying to install software on hardware that was never intended to run it. Expect LOTS of problems. See the tonymacx86 forum instead of MyBroadband as there are many more experienced users there.
Won't make a difference as to why unibeast fails to write a a bootable usb

Yes it could. You're expecting ordinary functionality from a system running on duct tape and bandages. Try a different USB, port, VM, download or system.

I'm on a MacBook pro in incredible connection.

Found the problem - the OS had a system update pending.

All is good now.

Do not ever buy MSI.

It's k@k.

Youd expect a 30k pc to have a decent bios.

Ever heard of aptio setup utility bios? Yea neither have I.

I have an MSI motherboard. It's awesome.

That's like saying don't buy a Merc because you can't take them offroad. You're working with Frankenstein's hardware and building a monster.

So laptops are out.

I now have to either do a Tony Mac built or just buy a God damn MacBook Pro.

Question to Apple sheep, how often do you buy the new range?

I won't be able to buy a new MacBook twice a year since that is the rate Apple seem to push it out.

How long do you keep yours?

Just trying to give this some serious consideration now.

Also does anyone have the mac Pro?

Buy a new one when the old one is no longer suitable. Nothing forces you to buy new toys when they come out.

R30 000 for? Unless you were scammed and paid R30k for a motherboard...
MSI GP72 or GE72 with the m.2 SSD etc etc supposed to be a high end laptop.

My Samsung Note 7 has a better built quality
