iPhone 5S 32 gig (between R649 and R949 pm depending on which contract one takes which is hellish expesnive but a more "Current" phone ) or the iPhone 5 64 gig (R399pm)?

Reception can be good, but congested towers. At least in my area between 8-11pm Vodacom is frequently disconnecting and network response erratic.
Get prepaid SIM, data bundle to test each network for couple weeks.

I applied for the iPhone 5 64GB deal from vodacom on tuesday night. Best value for money IMO.

You won't get a deal like that again. At this time the deal is finished as Vodacom Online doesn't work today or and tomorrow it has expired.

It was a week only deal to clear out iPhone 5 64GB stock.

Also I prefer vodacom.

If you go MTN, you can always add data from afrihost onto your mtn contract and have more data available like that.

Look at Nashua mobile deals for mtn as well. R429 for 100mins, 100sms and 400mb data..

I think MTN is the cheapest for the iPhone 5s 64. Cell is is cheap but the network is horrible. I can get up to 8 dropped calls a week. But I that's mostly in the are I live in. At work is a little better. I only have half the amount of issues.

It's very irritating when you want to make a call you can't.

My wife and I have identical iPhone 4Ss. I'm on Vodacom, she's on CellC. She has a better financial deal, but whether we're in Jhb or Pta, she's forever borrowing my phone because her reception is beyond pathetic.

ChristoC from cape Town i have a slight incling as to who you may just be :)

And yeah the deal sounds ok but I cant stand VC, buy it outright and go prepaid!

IMHO if you are considering the Iphone 5 rather go for the Iphone 5c. Similar hardware but plastic. If you want an Iphone for the sake of having an Iphone that is your best bet.
