Dude

trying to set up my video conference system to dial IP calls to my other office now
apparently i need a DYNDNS address to do this on both sides ? do i take the "host with IP address"
or the offline host name ?

Lol

thanks

DynDNS

You take host with IP address.
As your IP changes the DDNS will update the host name record.
You also need to input the dyndns login details into your router.

ok brilliant what about my VC what IP do i give it ? its connected to the router now with a 192.168 address

List your equipment

Do you have 2 routers in the mix?
1 for LAN (192.168... IP's)
1 for ADSL maybe?

no dude got 1 netgear Dg834 on my side and the same on the other side

just not sure i know if i should put the ip from dyndns in the VC system or what

No you must use the DNS name you chose for your dnydns account in your VC software.
That is the point. The DNS name stays the same - your ip changes all the time ;)
