Help with picking Fibre ISP

CISP are up and down in my experience.
5 years ago, great. Really amazing service.
2 years ago terrible. Took too many failed attempts at fixing, moving, canceling. And somehow no one could ever help.
Now... Dunno.

With Afrihost now, no complaints. Also went through that bad patch when owned by MTN a few years ago.
For me, any place where ANY human is needed to do anything, ends up being bad. Afrihost is mainly all online through the client zone, so that is a big plus if you ask me.

A lot of this is correct, lots of internal changes addressed which the ratings show.

It's the typical case of managing growth effectively.

Are MWEB and WebAfrica any good?
Whatever you do, please stay very far away from WebAfrica unless you absolutely have no other choice.

Can't speak for MWEB but I was under the impression that they're liquidating soon so I'm not really sure

Mweb... My in-laws are with them under frogfoot - and before that probably 15 years with ADSL Telkom
Fibre down for 3 days for them and their neighbours. They had to come to our house to submit a ticket. All the person at support could say was, if its your fault we will charge you R1700 call out... nothing about sorry for the inconvenience, how can we fix it... Just leave me alone, let me charge you.

Think I may have motivation to move them to someone else again :)

I would suggest that you have a look at RSAWEB as one of your options. They have performed really well on the MyBroadband ISP rankings over the last few years.

Been with them for a while and no complaints. If there are any issues they sort them out very quickly.
