Hermanus riots

sigh.. Time to copy the Koreans...

/snip

At least running riot in my parts may have consequences. Grabbing land in Broadlands and Sir Lowry’s having several communities in opposition and the coloured gangsters won’t be having it.

SOON! rubs hands

But but but they have rights and feels

Sad thing is, when this really turns nasty, they'll be painted as 'poor innocent' victims by the media

ANC MPL Cameron Dugmore says this isn’t a party political issue, the frustration over slow housing allocations is genuine and must be dealt with as soon as possible #Hermanus #eNCA

Madikizela: Financing this development will require supplemented funding from the provincial budget, as the municipal budget may fall short #Hermanus #eNCA

I am under the impression that this is only partly the truth, there are more behind the riots than the community leader is leading to believe. The agenda is hidden behind the housing debacle. Also, land has been identified, it will be dramatic that this may be the same land they sought to grab last week...

It's disgusting. Rather than forcing authorities to expand housing programs to help those in need, these fscking idiots are only supporting perpetual poverty by expanding informal settlements.

I witnessed an argument on FB between one person who was saying 'so what if I have a house in E Cape, I want one here too.' Who the fsck is actually being helped here?

#Hermanus all shops in Zwelihle which were owned by foreigners were looted and destroyed. Locals now have to walk to Spar for basic products etc.
The only stores operational in Zwe are owned by 'locals' who are now implementing surge charges to their products. Bread R10-> R15

#Hermanus as I left one of the men followed me and he was joined by another men. They asked me where I'm from, because if I was from there I wouldn't be filming things. He warned me again that people will hurt me if they knew what I was doing (filming etc.)

#Hermanus They said people's phones were destroyed yesterday after they were caught taking pictures etc. I put my phone away and walk away.

The streets were full of people standing/sitting outside their homes etc.

Some kids were playing inside the containers that were looted

#Hermanus Most of the streets are strewn with burned tires and chairs etc.

The schools are closed and the library is destroyed.

Some of the new RDP homes being built in Swartdam road are also vandalised.
The bricks for the houses are used to baracate the road. No cars allowed

In reality the borders are already open. They can get in through any national park illegally and easily. But yes it will be easier for more ISIS members and criminals to flood in once completely opened.
Apart from PAGAD three decades ago, has there really been any kind of extremism within the South African Islamic community? I don't think South Africa has much to worry about when it comes to ISIS. The problem is the godless vandals.

People really want housing not land, that is obvious. It's actually not rocket science to provide this. It's just that there is zero political will, initiative or management capability to do it. And there is no shortage of government owned land available for it either, and I'd argue when you're frittering away billions on things like a useless loss-making airline every year, no shortage of money.

Within the South African Islamic community? Well this is about open borders and the ISIS murders committed in KZN involved foreign national(s) which would be pertinent to open borders.

The communications stretched over six days after the Saunderses were last heard from. “On February 9 there are discussions of preparing to kill the kuffar (non-believer) and abduct their allies‚ to destroy infrastructure and to put fear in to the heart of the kuffar.

“On February 10‚ Del Vecchio had mentioned to Patel and Bazooka that there is an elderly couple in the forest‚ that it is a ‘good hunt’ and that they had equipment‚” the papers read.

In an unrelated discussion on the same day‚ the officer alleges that Del Vecchio had given “guidance” that the victims of caliphate fighters should be made to disappear. “When the brothers in Kenya go out and do this work it is very important that the body of the victim is never found and that it remains a missing person case‚” the statement continues.

Over and above the kidnapping and theft charges levelled against all three‚ Patel and Del Vecchio are alleged to have contravened the Protection of Constitutional Democracy Against Terrorist and Related Activities Act by hoisting an Islamic State flag at their home in the Ndlovini Reserve near Eshowe.

Del Vecchio faces a second count for his involvement in extremist web forums. He is “connected with terrorist activities by participating in extremist web forums that support Isis [Islamic State] and offering to supply phone numbers and sim cards that are not traceable”‚ the charge sheet read.

SA is about 95% god-fearing so most of the vandals do follow some or other imaginary friend.

Oh and the white widow hid in SA after the Kenyan attacks so there very much is an element of Islamic terrorism in SA.

Just like these 'protestors' will do their best to avoid the Hawston locals.

Funny enough, there were reports of stonethrowers in that area along the R43. This just appeared on FB...

UPDATE:
I have just contacted the Hermanus police station to confirm certain rumours.

There are NO stone throwers by Hawston and Fisherhaven. Threats were made that protesters were looking to grab land in that area and members of the Hawston community are standing there to show that they won't tolerate it. There are police on site. The road is open and safe to the public.

I bet those responsible are pagans that still worship their ancestors.

I'm trying to understand the media silence on this...

Is there some embargo in place now with the international community watching?

I see it's on the N24 home page now. If it wasn't for this forum I would not have known about this.
