Anyone have anything to recommend? Looking to get something with large, high quality batteries that are bright

I have 2 of them. Can go on when mains go off, batteries last through the night and they are very bright. Batteries are standard types that can easily be replaced.

Quality may have gone downhill recently. Review score is still at 4.7 and all the 1 and 2 star reviews that show up first are a small percentage of the reviews on there. But like I said, the quality may have gone downhill to keep up with the demand.

That is where I'll swear by Nitecore brand.

Its well known international brand, down side is they cost more vs other no-names.

Use their batteries for over 3 years now in my Vape and they still kick as well. Charged daily.
 
I have a few of them, they're great. Bought them at Makro I think. And I abuse them, under cars, in the attic, all over the place. Never blown up ffs. Probably people selling other lights discrediting the competition so their lights sell.

Yeah shouldn't be blowing up, it's a lead acid battery which would leak first before it caught fire or blew up. A lithium battery possibly exploding sure.
 
I guess I can buy them, stress test the living **** out of them for a few days and if they fail I just return them?
 
Bought 5 of them, Inshallah they pass trial by fire.

yeah and remember to say you were blacklisted, blocked and then lost a usb cable... you should be fine

There must have been a million of those lights sold over the last couple of months in SA.
 
I found some 7W 12V light bulbs so can run lamps off my LifePO4 battery with no need for an inverter. Very handy for loadshedding and far more efficient than using a UPS.

They come in a few shapes.

I have it plugged in and set to dim. When the power goes off it comes on automatically.
Probably not necessary between 12 and 5 am, but it may make the burglars think somebody is home.

The light is pretty bright when you set it on full.

Also have some load shedding bulbs around the house. Don't buy the cheap ones.
