High capacity/lumen LED light backups

Will never buy any of the backup lights mentioned as the batteries just don't last! Especially those that are supposed to remain plugged in do not last longer than two/three years in my experience.

I have a 30W solar LED spotlight (similar to this), with the solar panel fastened to the burglar bars on the window (behind the blinds, so practically invisible).

Lights up the whole kitchen and dining room, and as it is only used when we have loadshedding in the evenings, it's the perfect solution for me.

Lasts whole night on a full charge and has a built in day/night sensor (no PIR). Comes with a remote (ON/OFF - 3HRS - 5HRS). Need to get a few more - loadshedding se moer!

I am assuming the standard plastic or brass bayonet light fixtures would work with these.

My oldest magneto is very old, and I only recently replaced the battery. We have about 6 floating around the house, which we bought over the years. Since getting solar, dont use it as much. But redundancy is never bad. It is very simple, robust system. Batteries are easily available and is literally 5 minutes to replace even if you work at government worker speed.
 
I also have a few of these around the house. One in the kitchen, bathroom and a couple of cupboards.

They were R189 at geewiz when I bought them a few months ago.

Prices are crazy.

It’s motion sensing, lithium battery, usb recharging, 4 light settings and stays on for 20 seconds or so.
Very handy when you walk around at night.

They have a magnetic strip, so you can stick them to metal doorframes.

Okay and? Nothing with batteries lasts longer than that under use. Theyre consumables
 
Bought the smaller Magnetos and had no problems with them only thing is they charge with a phone charger. They going for R135 at P&P at the moment. I only got them to replace the led lanterns I had which used torch batteries. The lanterns need 4 batteries and the cheapest sets of two cost approx R70 so even if the Magneto only lasts 6 months it still works out cheaper and more convenient than the torch batteries.

Those batteries are only 6V 1,3Ah batteries, while the Magneto uses 6V 4or 4.5 Ah LA batteries. They would not last a long time between charges, one would preferably use at least 2 in parallel or even 3.
