Hi,

I'am looking at getting a HIKVISION DS-7608NI-SE 8 Channel Embedded NVR , to manage my Hikvision IP cameras.I've also got a few ubiquiti aircams which need to managed using 1 system (DVR/NVR).Does anybody know if this NVR supports the aircams ? I'am trying to avoid pc based NVR as it can become expensive + i don't wont a PC in my lounge that going to look untidy and make a noise. An NVR is nice in that you a hide it in a cupboard

Hello Hanks

As a Local distributor of various Security products. I am aware that Hikvision NVR's do support Third party IP cameras. Unfortunately i cannot say at this time that the Ubiquity Airmax is or is not supported. Try contacting one of the local importers of Hikvision, Sensor Security. ADI international or Pinnsec. They should be able to give you a more direct answer..

You could also consider purchasing software with per channel licensing such as Nuuo or Surveon which may meet your needs if you don't come right with an NVR.

Most if not all of the Hikvision NVR's will support any RTSP stream from any camera that publishes the stream, however if you add camears in that manner you cannot use motion recording only static fixed recording is supported. It is recommended that you use hikvision camears with their NVR's to make use of all the features.

Hi,

Thanks , yes the ubiquiti do publish the stream as I can view it using VLC.I don't mind using fixed recording for the ubiquitis and motion recording for the hiks. The hiks are my main cameras , while the ubiquiti's are just there for basic recording (ie the ubiquitis where a mistake purchase , but don't want them to go to waste)
