This one?If it's new out the box there should be 1 update it'll pick up immediately. If you look around the thread there's a 2nd one that must be installed manually.
Correct: J1127This one?
The nvidia shield TV 2019 has Dolby Vision, the Amazon fire tv stick 4K also.Well I have to use an android box which only gives hdr10
Both cost a lot and are not easily available in SA.The nvidia shield TV 2019 has Dolby Vision, the Amazon fire tv stick 4K also.
They can't repair VIDAABoth cost a lot and are not easily available in SA.
In any case they said it will be repaired by the end of the week so let's see
I have a x96 air running coreelec but the movies with DV can be played natively on the TV over my network. They can't repair VIDAA. Do yourself a favor and get a TV box. Even the new chromecast with dolby vision is R1.8k at GeeWiz.
That is the U8QF, not the Q8600

When did you buy it? 2019 or 2020My 55" Q8600 looks like this.
The Netflix and Youtube apps are always getting updated, now sure how though. I'm thinking because they're some type of HTML5 thing, where the UI gets updated but the core modules are the same.So with more use from my 8600 some kinks in its armour is being noticeable as to why this TV is "cheap"
The OS is limited ... Not much useable apps outside whats preinstalled. Also cant recall if any of the apps ever updated since ive got it
Youtube sound goes from normal to this weird spatial type of vibe. Feels a sw update can fix this (point above)
But bigger than the OS is the backlight ... It forms horrendous bloom sometimes around text or starfields ... And the light itself takes a while to turn off when moving between scenes. And is something noticeable and something that is distracting. The algorithm to manage light control could be tweaked to manage this

Biggest diff is the number of local dimming zones, U8QF has quite a lot more. And U8QF has 120HZ refresh rate.Excuse my ignorance, but does anyone know what the difference between the U7QF and U8QF is, and how these compare to the Q8600? I see Esquire has the 65U8QF for R17 000 and Takelot has the 65U7QF on daily deals. Thanks!
And the useless "sound bar" on the U8.Biggest diff is the number of local dimming zones, U8QF has quite a lot more. And U8QF has 120HZ refresh rate.
