Hisense Q8600 Thread

Thanks... Odd that I don't find any update on the Q8600. I upgraded via USB to J1127 as per @Hisense SA file several months ago. I wonder if that has to do with it not detecting a new firmware and we not receiving it?

Please post a screenshot of the firmware if you could so we could ask Hisense to provide it to us who are not receiving it. Would appreciate it.

So far I'm not noticing anything different, I have the 65" - only using it as a monitor for an HTPC.

Vidaa still looks like the same version, definitely not version 4.

I was really hoping to get the home assistant support as I misplace the remote often at night. :(

Since J1127 was not released via the normal update channel (OTA) for our TV's I wonder if perhaps updating to it takes you off of that update path. I did not do the J1127 update. Let me see if there's an update out for mine.

EDIT: Nope. Still on J1114 and no further updates available via OTA.

@Hisense SA please advise if there is a newer firmware out.

Strange, I bought mine from tal in March but it only got delivered after lockdown. Model number on the back says 65Q8600UWG.

They didn't give any info on what its fixing, just showed minor fixes.

Yup, identical model number to mine. Perhaps its a staggered firmware rollout.

Yeah maybe its just a slow roll out and they are doing it in batches.

At least there are still people working on its firmware, thought they stopped - still hoping for assistant support or maybe I should just get a smart plug?

Sucks when you pass out drunk in front of the TV at night, then get woken up at like 2am by some blinding light from HDR content and you have to search for the remote under the couch, instead of just screaming hey google/alexa turn off the fcking TV.

edit: By the time I get the remote I am wide awake again and insomnia starts all over.

Hi Guys

My software version is J1114 and all of a sudden today the ARC doesn't want to work... If I toggle between TV speakers and ARC you here to play for a second and then it stops ... Checked all settings on receiver and even factory reset ... Not sure what's going on... Anyone having ARC issues... Yesterday it worked perfectly...just today it stopped.

Anyone have the J1127 update and can post want to try update before I put a claim into Hisense for the port being faulty...

Log the claim. J1127 is not an over the air update even if it does fix the issue. Hisense is really dodgy regarding their updates. You shouldn’t have to do the work for them and fix the tv yourself. If it’s not working with the software they supply over the air, then it’s not working.

@Hisense SA are you able to advise here please?

Nothing yet.

I have asked @Hisense SA a few times on here and the main Hisense thread, but he/she has not answered so far (last online this morning at 10am though). Hopefully they'll get back to us.
If you check on tapatalk the last online is wrong

So after alot of back and forth, i did a factory reset and it fixed the issue, so thanks guys for all the help... secondly does anyone know what the benefits is it to do the update to J1127 ?

Were you previously on J1114 or J1127?
J1114

Can't see any difference on K1110 though.

Sound bar seems louder? Don't know if im mad or getting old overnight. But it used to be at lvl 20, now 16 after update. 20 sounds to loud..
