Those struggling ... The zip needs to be extracted and the tar file again extracted until you get a bin file that you place in the root of your USB

Thanks for posting the update

Yeah, thats where I made my mistake.
Only extracted once.
Thanks adamr

Curiously if you extract the ZIP, then extract the TAR, then compress with ZIP you can get file size down to 731.3 MB.

TAR + ZIP is a weird combination. Typically you tar to combine multiple files into a single uncompressed file then use gzip (.gz) to compress it. But .zip already supports archiving multiple files. And when you have 1 file you would just use gzip on it directly. Anyway long story for saying it is strange

So this update has fixed:

1. YouTube audio issues and audio sounds better in general
2. Snappier menu navigation

This is what I've noticed. Don't know why there is no changelog

thanks for posting download. Did not fix hdmi-cec do not turn off tv issue with appletv4k. Was really hoping it would resolve this.

Did you restore to factory settings after the update? This is recommended.

This isn't unique to this TV. Seems to be a problem across HiSense TVs. Doesn't turn off on HDMI-CEC. I'm using the blaster function on my nVidia Shield but I absolutely hate it because I need to point the remote (which is BT) at the TV.

Same with appleTV. BT remote works for everything, but need to use tv remote to turn off tv. Very irritating to need 2nd remote

This update seems to have sorted out the HDMI handshake issues I have been having.

If you are running home assistant you can send a command to the Hisense tv to switch off when the appletv changes from On to Off

Well my post and posts above as well are about the k1*** update !? ... We would not be talking about anything else
It was not apparent to me as to which model each person had who tested it.

But thanks for all the replies guys, good to know it works on the 55-inch. You never know with these things, besides the panel size, we have different LED dimming zone configs.
