Now that I'm home - just to explain these pictures. (I've removed one picture from my post)
Pic 1 - The red and black go directly to the pump, you can also see the earth wire connecting to the main power line earth.
Pic 2 - Brown and Blue are incoming 220v (middle two). Then the black&white (top) - and solid black (bottom) are the wires going to Zone 1 on the Opensprinkler board. (you can also see 24V AC through the see-through plastic)

Someone posted awhile back about LED strips that you can flash to Tasmota - can't remember who - anyone recall?

I only realised now it wasn’t your own story but someone else’s when you confused the kak out of me with this post.
 
@ipodmusicman is your Paradoxcontroller meant to go dark once you've connected it to Wifi?

I get the default interface from the Paradox Controller AP when I first load it up and then I connect it to my Wifi happily.

I can ping it without a problem, but there is no web interface at the IP address issued by DHCP.

When subscribing to everything MQTT on my network " mosquitto_sub -h 127.0.0.1 -v -t "#"" I also never see anything originate from the Paradox Controller.

Yet to plug it into the alarm, but based on our previous chatter and what I see in the code (not that I'm a dev) it should be stating something like it can't connect?

Never mind I just hooked it up to the system and got this...

paradox/status Paradox Connected
paradox/status ParadoxController

The fiddling begins!

It seems the serial output on this Paradox is either dead or there is some compatibility issue at play because I get bugger all else other than ParadowController connected.

:(

I fear I am out of my depth but with my cocked up back I'll precariously balance myself on a ladder later and see if I can capture anything from the Arduino Serial Monitor over USB.

Your pump is 220Vac - what do you need to control here?

Anyone have something to add here?
 
Any idea when the prices for cyber Monday will be loaded. Prices still look like regular ones and not what was sent via the news letter.

Sorry @rodga, just a typo - the price has been corrected to R245. Let me know if anything else is incorrect.
