I imagine a bigger/stronger magnet (within limits) would do the trick.

A bigger magnet definitely does increase the gap fairly substantially. I have a neodymium on the crawler of my garage motor and it can bridge a fairly substantial gap without issues.Would a bigger magnet not solve any possible gap issue? I see RS-Components have various sizes and shapes available for use in reed switching situations.
Which media devices?
I’ve been wondering if I can make my LG tv talk.
Looks like the difference may be in the gap distance that the different sensors can tolerate - I'm not sure that a standard reed switch as commonly used will handle a 40mm gap.
Love it, really nice work.Integrated this with Home Assistant today using my existing Sonoff Bridge flashed with Tasmota. Cheap R150 doorbell at Builders (and they all use the same 433 Mhz transmitter). Takes a pic through my outdoor camera and send a push notification. And notify on the Google Home.

Watch Drzzs videos, he's pretty in depth about what can be done.Any good website or youtube site you would recommend for sonoff automation.
Would also prefer using Google to run automation system.
Mostly use my phone, barely use computer.

Now I need a bridge ASAP![]()
For sure. I've also seen water and smoke detectors that are compatible, but I don't think there is much call for those here.Good to see guys doing more than just the PIR and DW1.
