Where online is the most reliable priming calculator. I tired the one at brewersfriend, but the online one and the same one for android, gave different values for the amount of table sugar to use

Also have a "bad-boy" like that .... no regulator required ... connect straight to bottle ;)
Planning on building a stand for mine now in order for the keggle to sit ±400mm off the ground ... the heat radiated downwards by that puppy, is intense

I've only ever used that online one by "brewersfriend". How much of a difference are we talking here? - If its massive, you should bring it to their attention.

I generally use a few batch prime calculators and then take an average of the readings.

Well if I take the amount as 21 liters, volume of CO2 as 4.5 (German wheat beer) and the temp at bottling at 26 degrees. the website says : 315.7 grams table sugar, while the android app says 301 grams

UPDATE : Ah, read on the forum, the website is more accurate, they have not updated the android app yet

OK cool, but be VERY careful with regards to "the temp at bottling" ... that is actually the temp at which you fermented at & NOT the temp of the beer when bottling, as the fermentation temps calculates the amount of CO² already 'inside' the liquid - Hope that makes sense :)

Jip, makes sense, actually what I meant, it's been at a constant 26 degrees

How much was that?

Although I have a oldschool one and shouldn't be staring

Just seen it announced that Beerguevara are opening a Durban branch.
This is excellent news for you Durban people, make sure you support them.

Their hops look quite pricey compared to other online stores...

Haven't done a huge amount of comparison but also haven't noticed a massive difference to other stores I've looked at.

I'd add 2 things:
-they have a lot of hops, I think they have more variety than any other store (they claim this, at least)
-the best/cheapest shop is generally the one in your city, so I think it's pretty cool that Durban will now have a home brew shop.

Edit: I realise I'm looking like a bit of a fanboy :D
Full disclosure: I do know the Ants that own BG, so naturally want them to do well. That said, I stand by what I said: Great service, decent prices, worth supporting (and I reckon that goes for any home brew store in SA offering those 2 things, we need all of them to make this hobby better and more accessible.)

+1

I have bought from a few online stores locally, and I have really enjoyed the service that BG gives. Really nice variety of hops, and quick efficient service means that I buy everything from them now.
