Home Button not working?!!?!

Hey guys!

Left my iphone4 charging over night, woke up this morning and the home button doesnt work at all?

Now I read this happens to a few people when they leave there phone locked for a long period of time.

When putting the phone into itunes, it says the phone is in recovery mode and I must restore this phone before u can use it with Itunes?

This phone has been jailbreaked.

Please, can ANYONE help?

Hey dude,
Have you tried actually restoring the phone's software? I think you'll lose your jailbreak though, but it's your best bet.

press and hold the Home and power button together for a few seconds until the phone reboots

Either Hold the Home and Power button together till the phone switches off and and then on again, or downlaod this programme that will kick your phone out of recovery mode: http://jaxov.com/2010/05/recboot-iphone-recovery-mode/ . You just install the software and with your phone plugged in, click the "exit recovery option" and it should fix your problem. If that doesnt work then im afraid you are going to have to restore in iTunes. Let me know if it works.

Use this software to kick your device out of recovery mode: http://jaxov.com/2010/05/recboot-iphone-recovery-mode/ . All you do is downlaod and install this software, then with your phone plugged in, click the "exit recovery option" and it should all be sorted out. If that doesn't work then your only option is to restore in iTunes. Let me know if it works...

Sorry about the double post... first time I got a server error when I tried to submit the response and after refreshing the page there was nothing. But after submitting the second time, I see both the replies are now showing, so sorry about that.

Thanks, I tried recboot but got an error when trying to kick it out. Will try again this evening.

I know there's some issues with using RecBoot on 64-bit.....
