Apologies if I hit a nerve, you're obviously circumsized (or as you would put it) had your human rights taken away from you by your caring parents.

In any case, I wish more girls would contribute to this thread. I'd like to hear it from the girlfriend/wife/mother's POV. I'm amazed at the number of angsty people there are here who miss their snail shells.

Why? It is not their body. If they dont like a foreskin on a man then they must fck off. A woman should never ever get a boob job cause her hubby or boyfriend tells her to....nor should a man feel obligated to have his penis altered in ANY way cause his chick tells him to. If he wants the cut because he wants to then fine...but if he does not want it then he should not feel pressured by ANY one to have it done.

Does not matter if its done in the child's best interest or not. What matters is if it IS in the child's best interest - Which it is not.

Circumcision is NOT worth it. The research saying it is, is sketchy at best.

Circumcision also brings its own problems, which have to be dealt with as an adult.

Then get the baby tattooed and pierced all over at the same time. It will reduce the discomfort of having tattoos later in life. Same logic. I of course use the word "logic" in it's broadest possible sense because it isn't logic. It is stupidity. Trying to save someone discomfort on a procedure they may not even want in the future is just stupid.

Of course it isn't. There is no benefit to the child whatsoever. The HIV thing doesn't count because that only happens when the kid is old enough to make his own choice anyway. It literally has NO POSITIVE EFFECT on the child at all. Even the religious stuff doesn't matter. There is no negative to having the circumcision later religiously speaking so even if you include the religious stuff and assume the religion is true there is STILL no benefit to the child that can't be realised when the child is older and able to make his own decision. It is for this reason that I cannot support circumcising a child. Note that that doesn't mean I have a problem with circumcision. I just have a problem with circumcising a baby.

The rest is just more personal nonsense so I'm not going to bother to respond to it.

I have no problem with someone making their own choice to have a circumcision. If you want to have a circumcision go for it. Heck if you want to turn your dick into a vajayjay go ahead with that too. As long as it is YOUR informed choice.

How old is old enough for it to be your choice? You can't wait too long, otherwise the healing period is prolonged by sexual activity (wet dreams & the things teens get up to).

How old is old enough is a question I unfortunately am not qualified to answer. Research needs to be done (I imagine though that psychologists and psychiatrists would have a good idea on this already) to determine the appropriate age.

You can't just shoot from the hip and toss an uninformed number out like that and frankly I'm amazed that you would expect me to.

Are you circumcised?

If yes, did you get circumcised as a child or an adult?

If as a child, do you now blame your parents for mutilating you?

I, again for the record, am not circumcised but would have rather been giving the negative consequences having a foreskin has.

Yes but if you read what the likes of the CDC etc say, women are usually the recipients of the dangers having sex with a uncircumsised man are.
