Wondering whether someone had contracted him to do the job, small business owner Vanessa Courtenay stopped her car to chat to him on Saturday.

Good gesture, but potholes can't be fixed by simply filling them in with cement. You need proper prep and packing, the thing is just going to sink as soon as driven over.
 
Homeless men painstakingly clean Cape Town beach because they “want to add value”

Same happening now on a Cape Town beach.

Facebook user, Talya Ressel, posted pictures of the men saying:

“These guys, Michael and Andile, are homeless and were painstakingly raking Sunset Beach, clearing rocks and shells. When asked why, they said they are doing it of their own accord, to show people that even homeless people can still work and add value. Very humbling.”
