Homemade Pizza

I bought 2, pizza for 5 is always a mission. Always used the oven previously, obviously never gets to the right temperature. Looking forward to seeing the result, if no further posts...........View attachment 1921155

Awesome! I think they are really good for the price. I run mine for 6min I think, haven't made one in a while.

Oh for ease of use I took a square piece of masonite and dust that with flour, then put my pizza on that, it is 100x easier than those metal ones which always cause the pizza dough to stick no matter what I tried. The pizza then just slides straight off that onto the stone ready for cooking.

Don't do it ON the metal that's why it's sticking.

You do it on your work surface and then slide the peel underneath it with semolina being your best friend of course.

Yeah I did that, I make it on my counter top then slide those things underneath, no matter what I put on them it always stuck in some way, even tried spray and cook, I eventually gave up and just slide my wooden contraption under the pizza and its perfect, just glides off

Wood Is more forgiving.

How has the metal peel worked for you. The more I read about the sticky issue, the more I realize a riffled metal peel is the worst possible idea
I don’t have any problems launching with it, and, since a lot less semolina makes it into the oven thanks to the slots, the pizzas taste better, but I can’t load it worth a damn so I’ve been using the smaller wooden peel I have. :(

Aha. Yeah im guessing the wood or bamboo ones perform better...

Slotted metal creates friction.... That's the last thing you want
