Host4Africa help

Right, seem's that I had exceeded my disc space quota. I pay R199.00 for 5Gb , unlimited traffic..... Now about a year back, when I saw that I was approaching the limit, I queried the company on their next package, to which they replied that there was no further packages available. They told me that due to the fact that I had been with them for 5 years, they would let my account run to 6GB and then we could talk again..... Obviously, some new person is there and he has decided that due to me being on 5.2gb, I am over my limit and stopped my emails..... DICK!

So, does anyone out there know of a reliable hosting option that is cheap and offers at least 10gb, unlimited traffic and will be able to migrate my entire site onto their servers for me, keeping my domain names and email accounts?

Hi,

Our support guys will gladly assist you, details in my signature.

Just a quick reminder to avoid these guys. Refusing COZA updates because they claim there is a problem with our account. Like hell. Taking a legal approach here, since they seem to prefer that route.

They not allowed to do that and ZACR (Uniforum) really _really_ do not like it when an ISP holds a customers domain ransom. They should be your first point of contact.

I have began the form 2 process. For interest, they are saying the domain owner needs to send them a cancellation before they will do anything.

Idiots that don't read their own email system - I have reference from their system from when the owner sent them this instruction. I have informed them that I will be making noise at Uniforum but they don't seem to care - another thing I will pass on.

Just a heads up for the Form 2, your new host will first need to send through a legacy transfer request as Uniforum cannot manually approve / override a transfer which originates from an EPP Registrar.

Once the transfer has been manually approved, at this point will your Web Host be able to send through the transfer to EPP.

The above is presumptuous on the fact that you have chosen a ZACR Accredited Registrar.

Forward my response to your ISP if you are unsure, or as always, pm me and I can send you all the details which you can copy and paste to your host.

Thanks. I have done the form 2 and now hope for the best. The correspondence from H4A is acrimonious at best. I have piles of reference numbers that show they have been given the correct documentation that they claim they require but still they simply won't do a thing. I will update this thread with things so that if any googling happens, buyers can beware.

Host4Africa have ZERO means of contact except via email. They then reply from these generic accounts (support, help, accounts etc) with singular names (Matt, George etc) and refuse to deal with anyone until they have full incontestable identification of the persons with whom they are dealing, including ID numbers and bank accounts. Yet, they think that they can act however they want without supplying even a damned surname.

If you are thinking of using them, don't - you have NO IDEA who you are dealing with. Eventually, I went the form 2 route and Uniforum just overruled them.

I have an exchange of over 20 emails that clearly establish the correct identities - down to blood type and sperm count - for each of the people involved on our side and emails from them stating "Your request is denied" and other generic rubbish like that. For legal purposes, the string of auto-replies and other documentation from Host4Africa will be saved and if another debit is charged, a fraud case will be made and followed through - of that, they can be guaranteed.

Why must customers have to FIGHT with their service providers? Do they not realise they cannot win this fight? A customer will share with all other potential customers and they in turn will avoid the SP. The SP can rant and rave but I doubt their competition will ever say no to my money.
