Just like every other year, at home will stay awake (don't tell the Don) send messages have a drink with the wife and then bed.
Will listen to the fireworks from Mamelodi.
 
Planned on an early night but dogs terrified of fireworks so I will at least stay awake until any noises are over.
Having said that, quietest New years Eve ever. A few big bangs every now and then. I live on a busy street where normally there would be tons of traffic: Tonight not a single vehicle passed in the last 15 minutes.

Oh well, 2020 is dying a quiet death.
 
Yeah there are some lone drunks with Roman candles but it’s very, very quiet otherwise. So weird.
I could fall asleep but man, this is too strange to miss, you know?
 
The family are all awake in the living room. Music on now. We be lighting up a couple of candles for healthcare workers.
