Hi there

Consumers often feel that telecoms and broadband providers can improve their products and service levels which will benefit the company and their subscribers. This is your chance to tell your broadband provider how they can improve.

Please try to steer clear of obvious suggestions like “cut prices”, and try to give valuable input on where your broadband provider is falling short.

By giving your input you will stand a chance of winning a Sony 10’’ 32GB Android Tablet PC or branded gear bundles.

Please give your feedback in one of the following discussion threads:

Would a broadband provider not include an ISP? Quite often, with bundled ADSL packages, customers deal with the ISP who negotiates with the broadband provider on your behalf.

The ISP feedback coming next week :)

If MWEB was on the list, then i would have asked them to please lower their home 10MB uncapped product to at least compete with Afrihost price...

All of them are falling short by customer service when it comes to delivery dates and even answering their telephones, i'm sure people will be more happy, if this could be improved, i mean i waited 4 months for vodacom to fix something that was suppose to take 14 days, and only a month after that came back to me.

We had Neotel wireless (no telephone cables in our area already for several years, thanks Telkom) And thire service is so ugly bad. They donot care nothing about their clients. We gave them a lot of suggestions......... They donot a S..with it. And all the providers are like that.
Pleaee pleas us stable, fast and not to expenisce internet and the problem is over...............

We will never get fibre glass, because we a littel bit out (surrounded by a busines park and estates (??) I donot get it at all.

Neotel. In general we dont have bad things to say about them, but please guys, you have to get people in your helpdesk that speaks English. Not half English and you have to repeat yourself over and over before they understand you. It gets very frustrated and this is not aimed at a racial indifferance, it's plainly a case of we need to go on with our work without spending 3 time the amount of time on the phone explaining things to someone who does not understand the language 100%.

Thank you

MTN
need to seriously improve customer support!
call center operators have little knowledge of products and services areas, ie is there 3g, edge or GPRS in an area
Need to upgrade outer lying area to at least 3G, as said Telkom lines don't exist in most farming areas!

Gold.

Telkom ADSL feedback - Don't want much, other than cheaper prices for line rental.

In all seriousness, the monetary value of the tablet should go towards training at least one member of the support staff of some of those companies, or getting the execs to see a psychologist about their money-grubbing issues. The entire country's customer base would benefit more from that than someone winning the tablet

Afrihost, they are not on the list, I called the other day and was told "......You are no 26......."
NO:26 is crazy yes no: 4 or 5 or 6 can understand.
The unemployment rate in the country is high, maybe we can train some of them.

Where to start....

Since 2008 Neotel has been promising coverage in my area "within 2 months". Eventually gave up. So for Neotel - get your act together and at least be upfront with potential customers. The loss of face and trust can never be recovered.

In the interim I have been saddled with the really pathetic performance and support of MTN. Even their in-store support is really below par, and heaven forbid that you walk in while they are having a cuppa - they'll just ignore you until they are good and ready. For MTN - CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!

A few months ago I signed up with the much maligned Telkom (as a last resort) and have to admit I have never been happier. The customer service, installation and set-up all went smoothly and I had the pleasure of dealing with some of the nicest people. Since then have had great stability and speed. Well done Telkom!!!

8ta - dual sim is taking months to "develop" ??
Think will have a cure for Aids soon and still no dual Sim ??

Telkom
I have a 1 Mb 10 gig ADSL connection.
Havign a true 1 mb through put would be amazing instead of the lousy contention that I get on my line.
I would also like to use my Telkom ADSL account adhocly in wifi hotspot areas like you can do with various other ISPS...
