Offer better packages for those that unfotunately do not have ADSL due to cable theft

Annemie of Thatch22, glass fibre is mostly referred to as fibre optic or just plain fibre in this country. Guess you must be from that lowlands with wooden clogs and windmills.

Telkom

I spoke to a "front desk" person in one of their mall offices. I was told that the desks offer no support or services nor any thing that can help their customers. I had to speak to someone on one of their lines. 20min later I get to someone and they cant help as I am in the wrong dep. After a little venting I was told that Telkom have not only removed their help staff from the stores, which only serves as a sales port, but that the company structure will be pushing the "help desks" further back.

Telkom also promote 8ta products, but will not help with these products. One must goto an 8ta office for help here. But 8ta cant help as it is a Telkom product?

Guys, please sort yourselves out. Its a service game, and if a company offer a better service and charge more for it, then customers wont mind migrating.

Also, I only use my Telklom line for ADSL. I have no phone connected nor do I want one. But I must pay for both the land line and the ADSL line rental. Please seperate your land line and ADSL line charges.

The most important thing is transparency, I have never been connected to a service provider who provides with the tools to analyse your usage so that you can better budget for the service they provide

8ta is great with their GO BIG 10 gig caps.

I started out with 8TA's 2 gig + 1 gig night owl. I was so impressed that I entered a 2 year contract (10gig GO BIG) But recently I noticed a reduction in download/upload speeds and rise in ping at peak times when their networks is under severe pressure. I know that with 3G this is normal, but not till a point where it becomes unusable at nights. Forget YouTube, and forget online gaming.
So how would I like 8ta to improve:
When constructing new towers, first make sure the number of possible costumers in that area. I.e Don't construct the same bandwidth towers in a smaller and city areas. Construct a tower with sufficient bandwidth for possible future client base.
Upgrade the effected areas with maintenance on a regular basis. Good reliable 3G internet sell by word of mouth and online social sites. Keep existing clients happy and growth will follow. Always be one up compared to other 3G internet service providers, and keep your standards high.
