How do I get my MTN number back???

There was a dispute with my MTN billing which lead to non use of the number. But through out there was communication with MTN while we were trying to rectify the issue. Once sorted, MTN informed me that the contract was cancelled and I cannot get the number back. What can I do??? I had that number for over 12 years and it’s linked to all my login details for various platforms!!!

Request it from who. MTN says it’s cancelled so I can’t get it back!!!

I'll also type slowly... No it does not ring, it says number is no longer on the network...
