I can highly recommende this Salton 4-slice toaster (model ST-401 / ST4S-09 )

- it is like two toasters side-by-side, each bank with a separate control.

I'm 6 or 7, with butter, thinly and evenly spread on.

I might add marmite or Apricot jam and or grated cheddar cheese...

Same but lactose intolerant now, so spread gentler Melrose (biltong flavour of course) and then microwave for
27 secs. (2 slices).
