How does one write off your vehicle?

if one can simply phone your insurance and say: "write my car off please, how many cases of fraudulent claims do you think there would be?

It doesn't work like that
 
one needs to make it look legitimate, otherwise it will get flagged as fraud.

got any friends who look like tsotsis?
get them to hijack you?
 
leave it parked somewhere busy with windows rolled down and the spare key in the ignition.
Later on tell insurance company you never had a spare key :thumbsup:

I know right. He did exactly that and then afterwards he even sold the car on autotrader as is :unsure:. He is a neuro surgeon by he way maybe he got contacts.

I think the golden rule here is never buy a 2nd hand French car.
She should just leave it in her closest city centre and report it as stolen.
 
French car ... surely just getting a repair quote will be enough to get it scrapped?
 
Both don’t sound smart.
One buys a discovery which is known for snapping its crank and literally bankrupting its owner and the other buys a 7 year old French car.

Just here to judge that’s all.
 
Can she still skateboard it? do the wheels still work?
