How DStv stopped my mate Dave from pirating

How many Dave's are there?

What a truly inspiring real life story and something good to share for DSTV! Unfortunately this "Dave" is a very small representative of people with the technical knowledge on how to pirate, but choose not to do so. Does "Dave" also pay his TV license? :p

If I could legally stream english premier league matches, i would have no need for dstv.

ok. so lets break it down.

we are here as a community to give advice on all sorts of things.

there are threads talking about how to use netflix to cut the cord.
the clear technological trend worldwide is to get rid of cable/sattelite TV and move to online based viewing. pay for what you want to see directly to the people making it so you dont get to see ads.

then the very site we use as this platform goes and posts an article like this stating exactly the opposite of what we are all saying.

this article is not only badly put together, badly written and blatantly an add despite claiming to not be one, but it also undermines the advice we give, thus alienating the forum members.

in short this article is insulting to us, the forumites, simply for being published.

rpm please remove this drivel, and rather post a guide on how to set up netflix and how to stream sport legally by paying for it without giving monochoice a cent.

Repped up!

How DStv stopped my mate Dave from pirating

Over the last few months my mate Dave has not pirated any TV series, and DStv is to thank for this change in behaviour.

For the record, this is not an advertisement. All sponsored content is marked as such. In fact, MyBroadband receives zero advertising from DStv.

You should be ashamed and embarrassed. Your "article" and response made me throw up in my mouth a little.

like I get it. support the guys who pay the bills. but multichoice? whats next? a pro MTN article?
Just some perspective. We receive no advertising, or any other support, from MultiChoice or DStv. The opinion may not suit you, but to shout “advertorial” just because you have a different opinion is not of much value.

Thanks. I will look into it. Worth it if its cheaper than dstv compact. Any idea of the cost?

DStv’s latest services offer Dave a convenient way to consume the content he loves, provides it to him in a timely manner, and removes advertisements.

And diverts then to MBB.

Edit: Even if it's not 'an ad' it's embarrassingly conceived and presented.
