How has your year been?

Moved out.
Got married
Went to Mauritius for honeymoon
Got new car
Made decent amount cash with sideline business to have the above :P

So far good, still miss having food made for me and washing done lol

Goal for next year is to buy a house or move to Ireland.

Been a pretty meh year. Odds and ends around the house came to about R60k that we didn't budget for and couldn't put off (leaking roof etc). My trusty car had it's first ever breakdown costing me a good R24k. All that unexpected expenditure left us unable to really go away at all this year, which for a couple that likes to travel was a great disappointment.

On the plus side, made it to the first wedding anniversary and no one died.

Been a **** year. Cannot wait for it to be over...

Well you know what they say ..... the difference between a tyre and 365 used condoms - ones a good year the other is an outstanding year.

kek year. Retrenched as the industry I was in is at rock bottom. Here's hoping things pick up in 2017.

Not too bad but it can never come close to the bad year that was 2015 for me. The constant economical change is however a good thing to keep you feeling alive!

A few things stand out from this year:

-Started my photography journey
-Explored parts of the country I've never seen (much more next year!)
-Moving into a much better residence
-Finished car payments
-Settled some other bad debt
-Finally have an 'okay' amount of savings in my bank account
-Finally submitted tax returns for the first time since like 2012

Sheesh, 2016 was like the tale of two cities for me. It was the best of times and the worst of times.

Found out my daughter has cystic fibrosis at the start of the year, along with what her life expectancy is. On the other hand we actually now know what has been causing all her issues and with the treatments being correct she is doing better than ever. So while the year started about as low as a year could at the end I find myself surprisingly up-beat.

Some other negatives:
Feel poorer than ever, all my bills keep going up by like 10 to 15% but the guvament keeps telling me inflation is 6%!
Politics sucked this year in many ways

Some other positives:
Finally back to working flexi time so much better quality of live
Politics looking up. JHB is now run by DA and ANC skeletons are falling out of closets left right and centre, up beat about that.
Finished up some building at my place and while it was a rocky road it significantly improved our lives at home now that it is done.
